Fans could not quite believe what ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski had to say about 2023 prospect Victor Wembanyama ahead of Tuesday’s Draft Lottery.

The lottery has come and gone and we now know that the French star is set for San Antonio, with the Spurs getting the first overall draft pick for this year. Unless something crazy happens, Wemby is going to be playing in a Spurs uniform as of 2023 and the city of San Antonio is gearing up for good times again, having lost all reason to celebrate after the departures of stars such as Kawhi Leonard, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, and Tim Duncan.

Could the 19-year-old return the Spurs to the glory days? He just might, who knows? Plus they have an excellent coach in Gregg Popovich while they remain the model organization in the league.

There is a whole lot of hype surrounding Wemby, but perhaps Woj was a little too enthusiastic when he offered his assessment on Tuesday. Not only did he rank the youngster the most highly-anticipated NBA Draft prospect, but Adrian would declare that the player might be the greatest prospect in the history of team sports.

Even ESPN had to mark that with an embarrassment emoji. Did he really forget about one LeBron James???
