Harry Potter actress looks unrecognisable 17 years on from first appearing in hit film

A HARRY Potter star made an appearance the merch shop at King’s Cross station today – and she looked completely different than when she appeared in the films.

Evanna Lynch is well known for playing Luna Lovegood in the magical series.

The young witch belonged to Ravenclaw house, and became friends with Ginny Weasley early on in her time at Hogwarts.

She went on to bond with central protagonists Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermoine Granger in her fourth year at the wizarding school.

Luna was portrayed as ditsy and ethereal, and often wore eccentric outfits in the films.

She had long blonde hair and pale eyebrows, which added to her fragile demeanour.

However, the actress looks nothing like her character now, 17 years after playing the role.

Evanna has masses of dark curly hair which she wore in a shoulder length bob.

She also rocks thicker eyebrows now, that appear to be filled in slightly with make up.

The 32-year-old star went to platform 9 and 3/4 at the railway station to participate in the reopening of The Harry Potter Shop.

It has been closed for the past 12 weeks for a refurbishment.
