Paris Hilton ‘escorted out of Coachella VIP area to make room for Taylor Swift’

Taylor Swift attended Coachella for only the second time ever with her boyfriend Travis Kelce – and her appearance reportedly caused a stir with other A-listers

As though Coachella 2024 could get any more dramatic, Paris Hilton was reportedly escorted out of the VIP area to make way for Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

Hotel heiress Paris, 43, was seen partying with her husband Carter Reum and pals on a VIP platform next to the stage. The gang danced to Anderson .Paak’s set on a balcony framed with railings, alongside stars like Real Housewives’ Kyle Richards and Jeff Bezos’ fiancée Lauren Sanchez.

Though some people left the platform before 2am, Paris and her friends were still grooving away when, according to The Sun, security turned up to turf everyone off the VIP area to “make way for a big arrival”. One eyewitness told the publication: “All of a sudden about 20 people were ushered to the end of the platform, and seemed to be moved to make way for a big arrival.

“They were all seen clambering down the stairs and into a dark VIP bar area as more than five security guards started prepping the tables and getting themselves into position. They didn’t seem to mind and it seemed as though they were fully aware their time was limited as someone else was arriving.”

Travis was reportedly the first to emerge while shielded by security, before Taylor and her pal Ice Spice – along with some members of her team – arrived on the platform. The couple were seen “drinking, laughing and kissing” as Travis rocked out to James Kennedy’s DJ set.

Taylor rocked Gucci sneakers and a Stella McCartney leather bag for the occasion, donning a pleated skort from Halara. She also donned a simple black t-shirt and a leather jacket.

The outfit was seemingly a nod to how Taylor met Travis, donning a New Heights cap to reference the podcast Travis makes with his brother. Speaking of how they met, Taylor told TIME Magazine last year: “Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell. We started hanging out right after that.”

She added: “So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

It’s her first time attending Coachella since 2016, when she rocked platinum blonde hair and red lipstick for her foray into the desert. Taylor wore a jacket emblazoned with a lightning bolt in a sweet reference to her then boyfriend Calvin Harris’ track This is What You Came For, which she also helped write.

Taylor attended the festival with friends and attended her beau’s set, with Rihanna putting in a surprise performance. Posting a snap to her Instagram at the time, Taylor wrote: “BLEACHELLA” – but didn’t return to the festival until 2024.
