Babies are delicate creatures, and most people respect that. Key word: “most.” Unfortunately, older siblings didn’t get the memo. Second-born babies have to deal with the rough playtime antics of their older brother or sister (read: being dropped, poked, aggressively tickled, pushed away, etc. You get the picture!).

As a second-born child myself, I would know! Paris Hilton’s adorable new video of her 15-month-old son Phoenix playing with his 5-month-old baby sister London highlights this perfectly — and London is handling it like a champ!

The Paris In Love star shared the video of her two babies on TikTok Tuesday. London is wearing white footsie pajamas and a drool bib as she sits in a brown bouncy seat. Her older brother is also wearing white pajamas and a matching drool bib, but he’s standing behind his sister. As the video begins, he’s leaning onto the top of the bouncer just moving it up and down, up and down, with the biggest smile on his face. As a little sister, I know that smile means he is up to no good!

“Are you the nice big brother?” Hilton asks, which only seems to encourage Phoenix more. He starts bouncing London even more aggressively, as she just looks at her mom with a wide-eyed glance, like are you seeing this?! Sorry, girl! Hilton is blinded by how stinkin’ cute these two are playing together!

At one point, Hilton laughs and instructs, “Not too hard.” But Phoenix isn’t listening. He keeps going, making London shuffle around in her seat. “It’s OK, London,” Hilton reassures her daughter.

Now, Phoenix is babbling and going hard on the bouncer seat. “I don’t want her to pop out!” Hilton tells him. Now this is like a challenge, because Phoenix is going even faster. “Oh my god,” she says, reaching out to grab London’s leg. “Not too hard, honey! That’s a baby,” she reminds him.

After she asks London if she’s OK, Phoenix screams — and London burst into tears. “No, she’s scared, honey! No, no, no!” If you’ve ever told a toddler no, well, you know how it goes. Phoenix starts crying, too, and now there’s a symphony of tears. Hilton springs into action, quickly reassuring both kids that “it’s OK.” Then she tells London she loves her and Phoenix whines until she makes sure to tell him she loves him, too. Crisis averted!

“Baby P sometimes gets a little too excited around his lil sis👶🏼👶🏼,” Hilton captioned the sweet video.

“London was having her first rollercoaster experience 😂❤️,” one person joked. Someone else quipped, “London is holding on for dear life like ‘bro, slow down or let me off’ 🤣🤣”

“They are best friends already 💕,” someone else noted.

Others left passive-aggressive comments (because it’s the internet). “It’s ok to stop him from doing that 💖,” one person wrote. “Paris it’s shaking her brain!” someone else wrote. I’m pretty sure Hilton wouldn’t let her toddler shake her baby’s brain, but what do I know? TikTok commenters know more than a mom from a 10 second video I’m sure (can you sense my eye roll through the screen?).

Last week, Hilton shared a funny video of Phoenix’s “first face plant.” He was playing and then accidentally fell over with a loud smack sound into an inflatable water toy. Hilton laughs, then asks him if he’s OK, which he was … until he looked around and realized he’d get more attention if her cried. So he did a cute little fake whimper. Such a cutie!

The Simple Life alum shared her hopes for her kids in an interview with SheKnows in November. “I want them to be best friends and for Phoenix to watch out for his little sister,” she said. “That’s why I wanted to have a boy first, because I feel like so many bad things wouldn’t have happened to me when I was a teenager if I had a big brother to watch out for me.”

Hopefully one day Phoenix will (my older brother eventually switched to protective mode for me!). In the meantime, don’t worry, London. Being a second-born just makes us tougher!
