Jacobshagen said: “He was in emotional meltdown saying ‘they are going to murder me’.”

The friend then spent three days with the singer when he was handed the chilling letters.

Although the notes never specified who “they” were, some made reference to concert promoters AEG, who at the time were organsing gigs in London for Jackson.

One said: “AEG. Make so much pressure to me… I’m scared about my life.”

Jackson was found d3ad just weeks later in Los Angeles while under the care of his personal physician Conrad Murray.

His official cause of d3ath was given as an overdose of sedative propofol and Murray served half of a four-year jail sentence for involuntary manslaughter for administering the lethal drug.

Jacobshagen has now claimed the troubled star was using the drug for more than a decade to treat his insomnia.
