Insiders believe that Kim Kardashian was taken aback by the “brutal” reaction she got when she publicly ridiculed Tom Brady on Netflix. The reality star was offended by the volume of jeers she encountered.

When Kim, 43, entered the stage at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Sunday night to roast the NFL champion for The Greatest Roast of All Time, which aired live on the streaming service, she was heckled by the crowd.

As she addressed the crowd while holding a glass of champagne, Kim tried to make a joke about presenter Kevin Hart’s height, but she was loudly jeered, and the comic seemed to intervene to defuse the situation.

An insider exclusively told DailyMail.com, “Kim expected some jokes to be sent her way, maybe some backlash because there are always haters, but this was way more than she ever expected.” It took her by surprise and knocked her out of her game.

She made an effort to accept it since it’s a roast, but she wasn’t fond of the boos. Although it upset her, she is now fine with it after spending a day or two in the lion’s den. However, Sunday night was particularly harsh and greatly unnerved her.
